Why does my 1 year old kitten/cat attack scratch and bite my face and hair?

My fiance and I adopted 2 cats from a local shelter about 5 months ago. Karl (our 2 year old neutered male) is soooo sweet and smart and he loves to jump and play. Karl can jump for a toy/treat over 4 feet! He also sleeps in our bed at night, right next to my head. <3 Raja on the other hand... he likes to hide and can only eat a treat if its hand fed from me. Raja is younger (vet thinks about 8 months) and he is very aggressive. I feel that he is this way because my fiance FORCES him to cuddle and be held... I let raja go free when he cries, my fiance does not. He says that all cats learn to be cute after this... I think its making raja more mean. What do you think? I could really use some help/support here because I have never had indoor cats before this. Also, Raja scratches my fiance's face HARD and makes him bleed nearly every day. I don't like this behavior but I feel like its not the cats fault.

Why does my puppy still have diarrhea?

Ok, this is a long story so I'm going to try to some it up. I have a 6 month old small breed puppy that was spayed three weeks ago. The day after her surgery she had diarrhea about 6 times, so we took her back to the vet. The vet thought she might be sensitive to her pain medicine so took her off of it and put her on an antibiotic/antidiarrheal and a diet of boiled chicken and rice for 3 days. A week after the spay I came home from work and the puppy had diarrhea and vomited all over and continued to do so - both were dark brown in color. I rushed her back to the vet where they told me that she was probably allergic to the antibiotic and told me to stop giving it to her, but gave her two medicines; one for diarrhea and one for an upset stomach and to put her back on the bland diet for at least a week. The next day we were back at the vet as her incision from the spay was oozing, there was no infection but they put her back on a different antibiotic. The day after that she was not eating, started vomiting and was lethargic the entire day (this was the first time she exhibited symptoms other than diarrhea/vomiting) the vet told us to stop the new antibiotic but keep her on the two medicines for her tummy. She seemed to be doing better so after a week of no vomiting we started weaning her off the bland food by mixing her kibble in, and then increasing the kibble and decreasing the rice until she was on just kibble. The first day she was off the bland diet she pooped ALOT (6-8 good size poops) but we thought maybe she was just backed up from all the rice. The next day she started having loose stools but we figured she needed time to adjust to being back on regular food. We haven't given her anything other than kibble, no treats or rawhide or anything. For the next two days she had diarrhea on and off, and today it has been all diarrhea thats a nasty yellow color. I tried calling the vet tonight but they closed early, and since she is acting ok I didn't feel the need to call the emergency clinic, so I will call our regular vet in the morning. She is still acting fine, even a little more rambunctious than usual, and until today had a pretty healthy appetite. I am worried about her, and concerned that with the medicines (which she finished a week ago) and the bland diet may help but they are only treating the symptoms, not the actual problem. I do not know if it was related to the surgery or not, only that it started right afterward. Has anyone else experienced this with their dog, or do you have any ideas or questions that I can talk to the vet about? Thanks!!!!

Hi. Um, my Kitten has just turned 3 months. He is a male, and half bengal half tabby (SO gorgeus!!!) He follows me around everywhere. But doesn't cuddle or anything. But that is not the problem. He REPEATEDLY does stuff he shouldn't. For example, when we got him about a month ago he kept jumping on the table. We spray him with a waterbottle and/or tell him no and/or smack him on the bottom and/or shake him. He doesn't become discouraged no matter how much FORCE we use with him, he becomes indignant and just goes upi there faster. The more we get upset with him the more he does to irritate us it seems. ): I really love him but my parents are talking about getting rid of him if he carries on like this in another few months with no sign of improvement. First things first.. What an emotional story! I feel for you, truly. I lost my grandad to Huntington's disease a number of years ago and in the final stages it can be painful to witness. Luckily like yourself I don't carry the defective gene, for which I'm eternally grateful. Your brother, bless his soul, must have been in a very bad place mentally at the time, but you can surely take some solace in the fact that he didn't suffer for the final few brutal years of the illness. In regards to your dreams, in my opinion they will be caused both by your PTSD and your medication. They sound extremely vivid and dreams like that can confuse/scare/bewilder us. I agree with the above answer that writing your dreams down after they've woke you up may help you make sense of it all. And I also agree with the other comment in the sense that, although you have suffered all this loss and pain, you are still here. Make a difference, raise money for the cause to defeat the illness that took your loved ones (Huntington's Disease Association) so that you can feel proud in the fact you may have spared someone else the same pain that you've felt. My wonderful sweet guinea pig, Mancow, died yesterday June 26. I am so heartbroken. What a sweet baby he was & such a great personality! Why would SquareEnix create FFVII Advent Children movie?

Ok so, its a long time since it was out and heck, they even released advent children complete last year of the year before. when it first came out, i was like, cool they are all cgi and very realistic with over the tops moves which is freakin sick. lately, i just had a thought and remembered this final fantasy series but something's bothering me, and im talking about the movie. why would square enix create this movie for? i dont see the sense of the major plot of the movie. its just these three guys that are Sephiroth's other sides which appeared out of no where and when they get a hold of jenova, sephiroth came back and later dies again. whats the significance? i dont see the point as a continuation to the series. things appear out of no where without explanation, no major twist to the series like a new enemy or something, they are just playing around with the story and recycling on what it has. where did those three dudes came from? where cloud gets his new sword? who is this denzel which appeared out of no where and plays no major role? is it just a test subject for square enix on cgi technology for future games? or they just wanna earn some extra income?

OK, i have a 4 month old daughter but her father has two older children. They do not see their mother at all, but me and him are not together. I am not their step mom. My guy friend who I have a tad bit of a crush on and vice versa went out with mutual friends the other night and we ended up drinking a lot. amy i have suffered miscarriages in the past.....the first when i was 19 ,the result of a car crash [the trauma induced the miscarriage at 6wks]......the second last year , i was pregnant with twins , lost the first at 6wks 2 days the second at 11wks 1day.......each miscarriage ended like this .....i felt long sharp stomach pains , began to spot and /or bleed heavily , nausea , and finally i was an emotional wreck...........most of the symptoms you list CAN just be regular pregnancy symptoms.....and i know from my gp [and the fact i still had nausea , cramps on and off ,and pregnancy symptoms a month post miscarriage]that symptoms can linger for upto 12weeks following..........i knew i was pregnant [with the twins] 2 weeks after concieving , as my symptoms were severe and my two kids caused me little to no symptoms......and honestly i am british and never heard this nonsense about us being different to the americans ??? i may live in australia now but am pretty sure pregnancy is the same world wide.......i am sorry for your loss .....but remember some of those syptoms may not have been the miscarriage itself but perhaps the hormonal imbalance we all dance with in pregnancy

How Do I Handle 11-Month Old Chihuahua Aggression?

I have been very consistent in training my chihuahua, who is now currently 11 months old and 9 lbs. He has been with me since 12-weeks and was neutered as a young puppy as he had started to exhibit certain behaviours (humping objects, etc) that led it to be advised. He is crate trained, potty trained, social and friendly in the dog park, but has exhibited aggressive behaviours from time to time. He is not allowed on the furniture, is made to wait for humans to enter doors first, and must sit or do other tricks to be rewarded or served his food. However, his aggression has been most seen around food, guarding his crate, guarding me, or when people pet him. Before, he would always want attention from others, but now he will be comfortable receiving a pet but then suddenly turns and snaps, warding off whoever is petting him. My boyfriend, who lives with us, is the most frequent victim. This past weekend, after getting picked up from the train station, I was sitting with my mother and the dog in the back seat of the car. She was petting and he suddenly tensed up and tried to bite her. Prior, he had always been very calm and well behaved in the car. On another occasion, while sitting on my boyfriend's lap in the car, my boyfriend was holding him and moved his hands slightly and the dog began to growl. I'd don't know if this is fear based or territorial. But the behaviour is very fickle and changes quickly. He will be accepting one minute, then suddenly tense and upset. He has been examined recently with a good bill of health. This behaviour is never exhibited towards me. After he lashes out, he instantly gets embarrassed, will lower his head in submission, and know that he has done something wrong. But he will still possibly lash out if anyone is in his space. I'm worried as this behaviour is new, as in the past few weeks, and I want to nip it in the bud. In regards to his aggression in the crate, I've had my boyfriend casually drop treats into the crate when the dog is resting inside, and speaking kindly to him. This is slowly improving and he is more accepting of people's presence near his crate. However, the other moments when he snaps are concerning me. If anyone has any advice-- please let me know. I have also been seeing a behaviorist to assist, but wanted to gather additional feedback.

My puppy has Parvo. What can I do?

Parvo is devastating and deadly, the only hope a dog has is to get to a vet immediately at the first signs of symptoms, otherwise the prognosis is sudden death. Very important to keep up puppy shots on time, they can still get it and die before getting the final booster. I am sorry but unless you can get puppy to a emergent vet right away, likely he won't make it.
