My face is way darker than my body?

Last time i was with my friends their ligher than me. They took of their shirt and their body was 2 tone lighter than their face. When i took of my shirt they said! Damn your freaking light!!! YOu see their used to think im dark like Denzel Washinton complexion. And when they saw my chest they saw i was light like Jennifer Lopez skin tone. So anyways how can i make my face even out atleast with my body. My face is even darker than my neck.
